Day 3

Today we met Sgt. Gillis of the Greenburgh Police Department. He took us to Chatterton Parkway along with Paul Feiner. There we met with Emily and Jason Kingsley, who is one of the three musketeers. We took measurements of the road and discussed what options we had for making a sidewalk.

While there we also met several members of the local community who voiced their concerns about the safety of pedestrians. One elderly woman who wished to be anonymous told us that there had been several accidents in the past few years due to the blind curve on the street.

Another man by the name of Lawrence Birnbach has offered to allow the town to use a part of his property to make a path away from the road that does not interfere with the phone polls or go against ADA sidewalk requirements. Thank you sir, you have helped immeasurably with our effort.
